There will a briefing session for anyone considering standing as a candidate in the May council elections. The venue will be the Whitewell Bottom Community Centre, Rossendale BB4 9LD. There is no need to confirm attendance in advance please feel free to just turn up. Vote Freedom Coordinator Jonathan Tilt will explain the elections and campaign process.
The event is being held jointly with the Freedom Alliance political party. Catherine Evans Freedom Alliance Deputy Leader will be there.
Whilst we would prefer people to stand as Independents as its easier, better aligned with the freedom movement and will result in more votes we are happy to also see people stand for genuine freedom parties like Freedom Alliance. What matters most at this late stage is that people from the freedom community come forward and stand in one guise or the other.
The event is targeted at Greater Manchester and Lancashire candidates. But the process is the same everywhere so potential candidates from further afiedl are very welcome.
